Meet Jamie & Nick! They came for an outdoor session to document the beauty of their first pregnancy. We lucked out and had a day FULL of sunshine after many weeks of rain. It was so refreshing to have perfect light and light hearted playfellows (stupid thesaurus) to walk around with and have some fun. We went down a path at Lewis Park and got some great images with the surrounding trees, rocks & awesome textures. It was GREAT to be able to shoot outdoors again. So looking forward to “official” spring.

They came back a few weeks later (with a rounder belly) and did some studio shots. Look forward to meeting baby Anjolie in the beginning of May… Here are a few favorites from their sessions. Be sure to let Jamie & Nick know which ones YOU love!

Brandon came in to help finish off the modeling for the Lollipop Tops display at The Modern Mercantile in May. He is such a joy to photograph. He has so much energy and really lights up the room. This time, we got to be transformers and I had to call him “Benton” the whole time. He laughed, his mom laughed and I laughed the entire time. What a hilarious and adorable boy! 🙂 Thanks Brandon!

Please come out and visit the Lollipop Tops display in May. You will see some familiar faces on the wall display and have many, many, many hats to look at that have not been photographed here on any kids (or adults). Will only be displayed the month of May. Hope to see you there!

Ted & Maria brought their dogs and braved the chilly weather in t-shirts for their engagement photos. We did their whole session at Monroe River Farms. They were great sports! I love it when people can fall in to a comfortable pose with each other without being prompted. Their chemistry is so great, that creating these images was a genuine pleasure. I am looking forward to their April 23rd wedding. Be sure to check back the blog for photos from their wedding.

Brooke & Clara came in to the studio to model a few other hats offered by Lollipop Tops. They were so much fun. Clara was so quiet and calm and just loved studying everything going on. Brooke was happy (until we put the hats on her head) and we were loud and rambunctious. These photos just crack me up. Something about babies in hats just makes me smile. And, it will definitely make you smile seeing some of these expressions from Brooke.
