Elizabeth (Biz) and her boys met me in Green Lake one beautiful day. The weather was absolutely perfect & so was the light and location. This family was so easy to photograph because, well, they are all so GORGEOUS & got along so well. It is so nice to be able to capture moments rather than have the awkward smiles. This family is a great example. Thanks for having me photograph you guys. Hope to see your faces again soon.

I got to meet Megan for the first time this weekend. It was a meeting I was excited about for a couple different reasons. 1. Megan is a senior from a school I’ve never photographed for and an hour and half from my studio. I was honored that she chose to come here. Secondly, she is the sister of my soon to be brother-in-law. No pressure there, right?

Megan and her mom met me at Gasworks Park. That is such a cool place to be and you can get a pretty cool view of the city from there. Anyway, the day was BEAUTIFUL. Megan was a JOY to photograph. She really shines in front of the camera. I am hoping she had as much fun as I did. (Even though I did make her sit and stick her hand in a pile of poo — so much for first impressions, huh?)   🙂

Thanks again Megan. I look forward to seeing you throughout the year!

Here is a shot of Megan with her mom. Aren’t they BEAUTIFUL?

Well this was the day for Jodi and Auntie Sovo’s big adventure. It was a fact finding and R&D purchasing trip. So the only reasonable thing to do was to start at Bedrock Industries. What better place to go for creative, and as it turns out…social edification. Just take a look at these pictures and you’ll see what I mean. How beautiful the world would be if the next road you traveled was paved with these deep blue pebbles. And the kicker…these are nearly as ‘green’ as the original gravel. As you go through these pictures keep in mind that there is no extra pigment applied to the glass. This is all recycled with abundant creativity and earth awareness.

Bedrock Industries is truly amazing. Everything that is made there is designed with a creative eye. Walking around with my camera kept me interested for most of the visit. Please keep this place in mind when making props for your studio, designing things in your home or just wanting to do a creative new project.

Earthwise has got to be one of the coolest places for inspiration. Basically, they go and salvage materials and sell them to YOU at great rates. Seriously, this place had so much. And, who can’t love a giant palm tree in the middle of Seattle?? 🙂

I picked up some great new props and backgrounds for the studio during my trip here. They had a super sweet see-through bullet proof door from a bank. It was amazing, but was not the right size for my doorway.

The customer service here is great. I guarantee you will find SOMETHING you can’t leave without and will have reasons to return. I know I do! Thanks Earthwise!
